Davis Boat Works completed all the following work phases for this vessel:   

Canopy system

Removal of existing canopy system including all framework.

Deck house repairs

Removed and installed structural deteriorated plating of interior/exterior bulkhead plate and metal partition panels including all deteriorated frame supports and air conditioning support housings.

Air compressor

Removed and installed low-pressure air compressor including all associated piping and valves.

Watertight closure repairs

Disassembled, inspected, repaired, adjusted and replaced interior/exterior watertight closures throughout the barge.

Cableway repairs

Inspected, repaired, and replaced cableways, stuffing tubes, junctions, panels, switches, plugs, meters, breakers and hangars throughout vessel.

Phone system replacement

Installed a complete telephone switchboard and all associated cables, jacks, phones, intercom, and general announcement systems.

Canopy cover

Manufactured and installed new laminated cloth canopy cover.

Cable television hook-up

Installed complete CCTV/VHS/Satellite antennae system including all cables, jacks, and mounted television racks.

Ventilation cleanliness

Cleaned entire supply and ventilation ductwork including the rebuilding of all fan motors and replacement of any associated missing hardware.

Fire detection and suppression system

Installation of new fire station hoses and associated equipment including all fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, complete fire/flood/smoke detection alarm systems, life saving equipment, and designed and installed new Gaylord fire extinguishing agent systems.

Steam heaters, piping and valves

Removed and installed with new, the entire steam and condensate (heating) systems, piping, gauges, strainers, valves, traps, thermostat, temperature/pressure regulators, solenoids, freshwater piping, and lagging throughout entire barge.

Repaired and tested CHT system

Hydro-blasted and chemically cleaned the entire CHT system, including all associated piping. Installed new pumps, macerators, tank level indicator sensors (TLI’s), and repaired or replaced inoperative valves and associated deteriorated piping.

Liferail and stanchions

Repaired and replaced sections of damaged or deteriorated liferails, lifelines, chains, and stanchions throughout the barge.

Ladders

Replaced all excessively worn or damaged ladder treads and handrails throughout the barge.

Repair metal joiner doors

Repaired and replaced damaged metal joiner doors including malfunctioning locks and doorknobs.  Manufactured new keys for all existing locksets.

Windows, screens and vinyl mini-blinds installation

Completely removed and installed new windows, screens, and mini-blinds including all associated hardware throughout barge.

Interior/Exterior preservation

Hand power tool cleaned and preserved the entire exterior paint system.  Hand tool cleaned/sanded in its entirety all interior bulkheads/overheads, piping, and ventilation ducts.  Sanded and preserved all lockers, bunks, portable equipment, handrails, ladders, and non-skid surfaces. Installed hullboard installation throughout the barge.

Cleaning service

Deep cleaned and sanitized barge in its entirety.

Terrazzo deck repairs

Cleaned, repaired, and resealed Terrazzo deck coverings. Removed Terrazzo deck system in its entirety, repaired metal deck plating, installed complete Terrazzo deck system.

Polymeric deck repairs

Removed main deck PRC system in its entirety.  Sanded, cleaned, resealed, 01 level in its entirety.

Air conditioning systems

Overhauled all installed air conditioning units.

Furniture and miscellaneous materials/equipment

Repaired and purchased new furniture which included bunk-lockers, bunk curtains, mattress/pillows, standup lockers, tables, hand irons, ironing boards, washers, dryers, windows, electric hand dryers, minors, lights/bulbs, officer state room carpeting, chief petty officer’s quarters carpeting, floor tiles, ceiling tile, paper towel dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, towel racks, toilet/urinal flushing valves, toilets, sinks, hydraulic door closure mechanisms, soap dispensers, bathroom privacy dividers, sink plugs, faucet handles, shower heads, shower doors, shower mats, shower curtains, emergency escape breathing device (EEBD), installed dry-cleaning machines, steam presses, medical sterilization machines, barber shop chair reupholstered, theatre screens, and total pest extermination throughout the barge.

Repairs and replacement of mess decks equipment

Juice machines, drinking fountains, salad/soup serving tables, milk machines, coffee makers, soda machines, modular dining tables, microwaves, ice cream machines, storage cabinets, popcorn machines, ice manufacturing machines, ice dispenser machines, and silverware/tray racks and etc.-Including the modifications of electrical connections, supply and drain piping, and foundations to suit new installations.

Food service areas

Removed equipment, modified foundation, replaced electrical power supply cables, repaired existing and installed new food service equipment which included ovens, mixing machines, steam kettles, refrigerators, freezers, steam tables, meat slicing machines, meat grinding, blending machines, potato peeling machines, deep fat fryers, dish washing machines, garbage disposals, grills, baking and toasting ovens, food preparation tables, sinks, and vegetable processing machine.   .

Test and repair barge systems and equipment

Completely tested upon arrival, provided reports on discrepancies and repaired systems as directed, and had final acceptance tests of all systems throughout the barge.                       

Temporary services

Provided continuous uninterrupted temporary service, which included gangways, safety nets, oil booms, hotel steam, water, electric and fire/security watch, during the entire contracted repair period.
